Les Sorbiers apartment occupies the ground floor of a luxury building fully renovated in 2016. It’s in the heart of Val d’Isère only 100 meters from the church in the old village, far enough away from the bustle, but close enough to walk to buses, shops and restaurants. With enough beds and rooms to swallow up ten adults and four children, it ticks the box for families and groups of friends.
The first impression on entering is the spaciousness. As you move through the lobby, with a grand staircase to the bedrooms on your left, the open plan living space reveals itself. The sumptuous room is focussed around an open fireplace of local stone, with comfy sofas and chairs grouped round a huge coffee-table created from great pine beams.
Double doors lead out on to the small garden and terrace where you soak up the stunning view of the mountains from your private Jacuzzi while sipping a glass or two of Perrier Jouet champagne provided on your arrival as part of the faultless Consensio service. Their concierge also makes sure you have everything you need before and during your stay. All other services can be arranged, from pre-arrival shopping, food delivery service, ski hire, ski guides, lift passes, transfers, nannies, restaurant reservations to resort activities. Just say the word.There’s an emphasis on natural construction with the extensive use of bleached pine, set-off with heavy drapes. Deep sheepskin rugs are scattered throughout. All bedrooms are ensuite and are provided with Christian Lacroix bathroom products, dressing gowns and complimentary slippers. Mid-week housekeeping and linen change, daily cleaning, and final end-of-stay cleaning are included.
If you decide to drive to the resort two underground parking places are reserved. Your skis or boards and boots are stowed in a private heated locker off the lobby of the building.
