The Amwaj Rotana, is a real gem of hotel especially for the shopaholics and beach bums amongst you, with its prime location on Dubai’s The Walk the seemingly endless promenade of luxury retailers, boutiques and restaurants. Enabling you to shop, drop off in hotel, shop, drop again to your heart, or wallets content throughout your stay. Not to mention being perfectly situated on Dubai’s premiere lusciously white sanded Jumeriah beach. The opportunities and facilities to relax on the beautiful Persian Gulf are all catered for here.
After being warmly welcomed and checked in at the reception we were lead up to our wonderful suite, I am sure Dubai as a city has never heard of anything less than a King-size bed – not complaining – and with a walk-in wardrobe that would have made even Mr Big from Sex and the City hang his head in shame. The views from the hotel and our suite were fantastic, over the hotel’s swimming pools and across the gorgeous beach and across the sea, vast distances over the warm waters of the gulf and across to the exciting new world islands project.
I had to freshen up and try out the beautiful swimming pool the hotel offers to guests and enjoy the glorious rainfall shower – always a treat. I was soon hungry which was a good job because like the rest of the places I have stayed in Dubai, the options and choices of where to dine at the Amwaj Rotana are fantastic and plentiful. Whether you are looking for Italian or Sushi which we were, there are plenty of other restaurants of different cuisines between for you to choose from at the Amwaj Rotana, whatever your tastes may be.
Benihana was not just a delicious dining experience but it was fun! As food should be when with company. Benihana rustled up some of the freshest and most colourful sushi I have ever had. I love sushi it is always such a colourful, artistic and vibrant dining experience and the care for presentation was a very nice touch. Benihana was particularly great for having an open kitchen where you can see and hear the all theatre of Japanese cooking. A real culinary experience appealing to all my senses.
For some of the best Italian food I have had, out of Italy, be sure to pop down to Rosso. Sublime freshly made pasta, pizza in a classic stone oven, all made in plain sight along with an extensive menu of more unique Italian favourites. Not to mention the excellent wine list that complimented the food wonderfully.
Dubai seems incapable of disappointing you. The Amwaj Rotana with its stunning food and facilities so accessible certainly played its part in giving off this impression. The Amwaj Rotana Hotel is superb and caters wonderfully to all your needs. I would highly recommend it as a family friendly hotel with its numerous clubs and activities. Whether you are there as a tourist or there for business or both. The quality of the food and hospitality really is hard, if not impossible to be impressed. I felt amazing, and I saw little evidence that other people did not feel the same way about themselves.
