Las Brisas de Ibiza Boutique Hotel

Overlooking a tiny glistening bay filled with yachts, the small boutique Hotel Las Brisas has one of the most gorgeous suites I have stayed in on the Balearic Islands. A wrap-around terrace with chaise lounges, a small dining area and room to place your very own masseur bed, the hotel was perfectly charming and indulgent at the same time.

With only 3 suites with 6 rooms, 1 junior suite and 1 VIP suite, this is the destination for anyone who wants a quiet escape from the normal buzzy atmosphere of Ibiza’s party side to the island. For such a tiny hotel, this place is a customer service gem as you will have access to incredible food, masseurs, and boat and car rentals via the hotel’s warm and speedy staff which act like a concierge.

We walked into the private gates of the hotel as if it were someone’s private villa. Immediately welcomed by the lovely general manager Sabrina, we were directed upstairs to our private 2-bedroom apartment. The beautiful and spacious room was equipped with a large suite, Jacuzzi-style bath tub, a walk-in wardrobe and views overlooking the terrace onto the Es Porroig cliffs. Also inside, there is an open air walkway to the second bedroom which has its own private bathroom and shower with views overlooking the swimming pool and Mediterranean Sea onto the bay of Es Cubells. When we walked onto the terrace to lay in the sun, the setting couldn’t be more perfect – with the swimming pool below and the bay dotted with boats, it was the perfect place to unwind.

A Mediterranean-decor living room with full sofa, dining room table and small kitchen are at the entrance and it leads out onto the terrace. The second guest can walk via the terrace to the kitchen for a cup of coffee so as not to disturb the other guests. Within the kitchen, there is an array of tasty snacks with toasted nuts, sugary sweets, plenty of alcohol and juices. The coffee machine was a nice pick me up in the morning after a fun night out at STK Ibiza.

Continental breakfast was served with hot freshly made pastries like Danish’s, croissants and chocolate croissants with fresh squeezed orange juice and hot American coffee. We also enjoyed a fresh lunch with incredible ceviche, Jamon Iberica, a fresh mozzarella and tomato Caprese salad, and umami steaks. Dessert was a yummy chocolate brownie with custard. We made cocktails out of the fresh pear juice and Bombay Sapphire Gin.

After lunch, we called down to reception to order a masseur to come to the terrace to give us an unwinding massage. Already delighted about the delicious food and fantastic views, what better way to end a lunch?

After a fun 48-hours where we enjoyed our time at the Hotel Las Brisas, and a brief visit to the stunning Destino for the launch of Release the Groove house music label, we decided to have our final meal at the 5-star Aguas de Ibiza Lifestyle Hotel, part of the Design Hotels Group. With rooms starting at only £250, this 5-star hotel complete with 2 incredible hotels, 2 pools, a spa and 112 stylish rooms is a great deal.

I sat down at Alabastro Lounge which is outside and shaded nearby the pool, the chef was amazing, treating us to a taste of ice cold gazpachos before our starters. I had the lobster cannelloni which was fresh meaty lobster wrapped in thin cucumber slices and covered with purple flower petals and fish eggs. It was super delicious! My companion Leonard had the duck tartar which was very light but hearty. For the main, I ordered the monkfish with asparagus which was a perfect choice for the warm holiday weather.

After our early dinner, we were whisked away to the Revival Spa by Clarins which impressed us with their hammam, Jacuzzis, steam room and pool. Within the steam room, there is a lighting design which makes you feel like you’re in a space ship looking out into the galaxy. Outside the steam room and hammam, there is a large rain shower and a small pool to cool down. Sadly, we didn’t have time for the sumptuous looking spa treatments like the Essence of Ibiza exfoliation which used rosemary, a relaxing bath with essential oils of basil, petitgran, and chamomile, and a massage using Ibiza herbs.

For a 48-hour whirlwind luxury trip to Ibiza, we definitely picked the perfect relaxing spots on the island.
